My long lost daughter

 

 

Many moons ago my eldest daughter went a'wandering

Along the mountain track

And as She went, she laughed and sang

A knapsack on her back!

 

Now this week of this wonderful life

I will see Her again,

After 15 years of hardship

Suffering and torment

The blessed angels have brought Her home

She comes a'visiting in 5 magical days time

To my hometown I love with my life

How I look forward to the end of this week

 

How will she have changed?

Photos show so much

But ther's nothing quite like meeting someone face to face

What will She be like?

My little girl grown into woman, a young woman

What will She think of me?

Hopefully She'll love me just as She did as a babe

A young babe so innocent and sweet!

A bundle of joy!

A blessing upon my life, now and forever!

 

A few days to go

And i'm sure life will show

It was all worth the wait

To one day open that garden gate

To a big smile

In my heart all the while

With joy and peace everlasting!
