The Whole of the Moon: Maiden, Mother, Crone

When the Spring begins

Life blooms. In every corner

Worlds unite to sing their song

Every girl and boy belong

Mother Nature sings Her song

Crocus bells ringing
Maiden's dance and sing
Full of the glory of life

It is this springtime nature of the Maiden that we remember during the time of the Maiden Moon, a freshness to the moonth, a new beginning each and every cycle of the Moon. A wondrous and glorious revival of the spirit!

So we are revived and feel the sense of renewal of Our being and feel a great healing. One of the colours of New Moon is pale blue or pastel blue and this is a colour with great healing powers, a calm, a tranquillity, a gentleness. A time to get some good sleep and replenish Our energies. The crescent Moon shines early eve and She brings new hope of a better tomorrow. Just as the little girls of this world are the apple of their mother's eye so the Maiden Moon brings great joy!

The time of the Full Moon when woman blossometh into a Mother and looks that beautiful voluptuous being we call Mama. That is the time after we have begun to moon bleed. A great and wise teaching unto itself. As the Full Moon shines we ovulate and give ourselves the opportunity of creating new life. This 13th day is the most powerful a woman ever feels.
A natural time to make love by Lover's Moon, the full moon and happily the most natural thing in the world is having children from this blessing.

The Crone Moon is a marvel of creation that most of all gives us rest from the hubble bubble of the cauldron of fullest powers. As She wanes we become at one with Our darkest side and go deep within for introspection. The colour black worn by crones is a colour of this virtue.
Even black candles, which some haunt you saying "death", is simply perfect for introspection of the mind to heal the body or soul. Why we go deep within is this time of the Moon helps us alike the roots of a plant when water naturally flows down into the Earth so do we.
We find a closeness with the Earth from the Crone Moon that therefore aids healing in a careful and deep earthly way. As the Moon turns Her face around and spins back to the New so that healing becomes light and airy and seals the final and perfect end to the cycle. The seal is placed at the Darkest day of the Moon and as we journey forward we sense the healing has happened and are revived and renewed in a really good and deep way.

Crone, thy marvel of creation
